I always use a soft crate during the night and put it on my bed. That way I can know when puppy is up or needs to go potty, but don't worry about rolling on her.

I did give him some. I'm not as much worried about the crate right now, just about him - he is quite happy being curled up on the bed tonight though.
I will definitely let you know what happens.
