I think it looks nice. Whenever I put a blue bow on Laila (who is a girl) - people ALWAYS say, "what a cute little boy." Even in a blue shirt w/ rhinestones... what a cute little boy (do you know boys who wear rhinestones all over their shirt?). I think the 'blue' of the topknot, and the fact that you don't have a bow in, makes him look just like a little man. If it makes you uncomfortable try a clear tie. Sometimes people do not even realize Laila's hair is tied up when the clear rubber band is used - his topknot can be our little secret
