this could be due to empty stomach which can lead to upset stomach and gastritis; my dog had similar thing; was vomiting many times until she started vomiitng blood; i had to rush her to the ER twice within the past 2 years. last episode was this past august; they said it was hemoraging gastritis; she stayed there for 2 days on IV and drugs; and when i brought her home she ate boiled chicken and rice; and gerber baby food for 2 weeks; and then i switch her to the honest kitchen which is human grade dehydrated raw food; and i add probiotic and digestive enzymes; she has been great ever since; gastritis can progress very quickly and can lead to dehydration and possibly death. good luck
