Just to be on the safe side call the airline that you are flying. I thought it was 10 days before a trip but that could be up to each airline. I also think you need the paper with the rabies number on it because you could take anyone tag and say it is yours. I would hate to see your thanksgiving ruined because you couldn't board the flight.
