That really stinks!......Are you sure you tried turning the sofa on an angle. We had one that wouldn't fit through the door by holding it on the ends as if you just picked it up off the floor.....but when we turned it so the cushions where facing more to the floor it seemed to go in better....
I hope you find a solution soon or I think someone will be turning the garage into the living room!...
