Sadly, I was finally able to contact this person. I was told that the dog was spoken for but she would keep my number and call if the person did not pick up the dog.
I tried to tell her how important it was for a pregnant dog to go to a home with someone experienced in dealing with pregnancies and was told (rudely) that the person getting the dog had "a lot of little dogs and raised puppies and knew what she needed to about raising puppies." I then expressed my concern that she may be a BYB or puppymill and was told "she (the woman getting the dog) was a good person and just loved raising puppies." She then ended the phone call.
I'm through looking at craigslist ads. It's too emotionally draining for me. I just pray that the situation this dog is going to is not as bad as it seems. |
