Well they can prefer one food over another, but they do not get bored with food.
Dogs eat better when other dogs are eating, it's a survival instinct. If another dog is eating it I have to get my share.
If you are concerned about him eating his kibble, I would cut out the other foods. If you are not concerned then go ahead and add the other foods.
some people hand feed their dogs, and they get to where they will not eat unless they are being hand fed.
My advice with dogs is the same advice I give my children concerning the grandchildren.
