They don't get an erection. When I caught my male pug who is alot bigger than my female; he was standing over her hunched. Kind of funny to see b/c he was holding her with one paw. Couldn't even reach her he's so big. She would have to jump up and he would have to drop to his knees. I know if he wasn't neutered he and she "Would" find a way. But that is my experience. Before he was fixed his thing would be out everytime he was sitting. Now it never comes out even when he's aroused. This is my experience maybe others have had different.
P.S. After I cought them I have kept a keen eye on them. I know he can't hurt her but she's a hussy and is always flaunting her stuff. If I'm there she leaves him alone.
