Oh Sweetie, I'm so sorry that life has chosen this path for you, but know that you are doing the right thing and that some things are just out of your control. Winston loves you and that will never change, you will see him again when you return home. It sounds like you did exactly the right thing by your other little man. You will help educate your DH on treating his diabetes I'm sure. My mother has MS and was placed on lots of meds for the pain, she put on weight and developed diabetes...she's really been watching her intake and going for little walks and she's lost 35 lbs in the last four months and the diabetes is much better. It's do'able and you will help him do it, I'm sure! I'm so sorry about your horse, I've never had the pleasure of sharing my life with a horse, so I can't offer much wisdom, but offer my support! (((((Hugs)))))
