We tried to feed Teddy twice a day, but he has had stomach issues, and food allergies, so we ended up feeding him 4 times a day, we have tried to go to 3 but he hates it, and so does his tummy, as he has had many allergy issues, and sickness if he has too longer gaps between meals, we have no problem in him having 4 meals a day, we are used to it now, as he has been this way for 2 out of his 3 years.

I think it is a case of finding what is best for your Yorkie, although I do agree with others comments on once a day maybe a little harder for a Yorkie than some bigger breeds, although some are fine, it's a case of knowing what yours does better with.

We make sure we don't over feed though having 4 meals a day. We divide his daily amount of kibble into 4 equal portions.
