Almost 3 weeks of coughing Anyone know? I know, I know, I SHOULD just go to a doctor but generally speaking EVERY time I've gone to the doc for a cough, they can't do much of anything and it goes away on it's own.
For almost 3 weeks now, I've had this cough that I'm thinking MAY be allergy related. I know the ragweed around here is bad lately and I've had a few issues w/ allergies in the past. My dad has them bad.
I have NO other symptoms. It's just a cough. I have a tickle in my throat at times, feels like dust in my throat so I have to make myself cough basically. I don't really have that much mucus or anything, maybe a little bit heaviness in my chest, no fever, my throat doesn't even hurt. The first week I was losing sleep over this cough, but this past week and a half I've actually been getting to sleep perfectly fine. It's just certain time periods during the day where I'll have a coughing spree.
It's just so annoying. Any advice on what I can do/take? I will be heading to the Doc if it's still keeping it up all next week but for now... any home remedies, medicine, etc? I was taking these over the counter Robitussin cough suppressant pills that didn't seem to do much. I also took Tylenol Cold and Cough for a bit. I've been drinking a ton of water. Thanks! |
