I had heard that also about the breeding aspect of it and it really pisses me off. Here I thought we had done the right research before buying her by checking out different breeders and such and it ends up biting us anyways.
Thanks again!

So relieved she's going to get the surgery. Two of my friends who don't get on here much anymore have had this procedure done. Both Tucker and Roxy get along fantastic now, a year after both their surgeries. In a way, this issue is a bit easier than luxating patella surgery because they are encouraged to move around for their recovery, which is opposite of the patella surgery!
Anyway, it most likely will not do any good but contact the breeder and tell them what's going on. They SHOULD NOT be breeding this pair, and even though it probably wont stop them, there is a slight chance it might. Make sure you go to an orthopedic surgeon, you don't want a regular vet in there hacking around on your tiny dog. Might be a bit more $ but worth it in the end.
Lastly, please keep us updated. YT is a great resource when dealing with a stressful situation such as this. WELCOME, by the way! xoxo
