I will not take a chance with Penny. I purchased 3 pairs of panties for Penny. They have a thing where you can attach a "sanitary napkin" but it seems to move around and irritate her, so we just have extra panties in case she wets or poops in them.
So far, we just take it off and take her for a walk or make her stay on a pad after a couple of hours. We make sure we made her chase her ball or something to make her thirsty and then let her drink a bit before taking her potty.
I don't know what I would do if I had to leave her with someone else. I can't help you there. We will be taking her to CA with us for Christmas and I will likely be the one on here getting advice then.
