It happens all the time. As someone that has them in every size, I understand what you are talking about. Jesse is 3.5 and Travis is 15 lbs. The others are all between these two but I think really it's the people that have that tone who are really the most ignorant. They must not know the breed history and how they were originally 14-17 lbs or larger then bred down until to be shown the AKC says 3 to 7 lbs. Now there are some breeders that will breed a female larger because they will usually produce more puppies and it will continue to propagate the larger yorkies we have. I hear people say the larger ones are "throw backs" and I cringe. I like to think of the bigger ones as the Washington or Lincoln's of the breed and have pride to be able to see from where our breed has come.
