I doubt that there's an official pet cemetery anywhere around here, but I wouldn't bury my dogs there. As a child, we'd put the animals in a little cardboard box and bury them in the backyard, so we could visit them any time we wanted...

But when my dog of 15 years died recently, I realized that wouldn't do. I'm going to move away from here someday, and the thought of leaving his body where people could just dig it up made me very upset. So, we had him cremated. The thought is a little disturbing at first, but I think it's probably the best way...

It reminds me of my Aunt and Uncle. Their cat Mr. Bochamp recently passed on, and he was like a child to them. So, they decided to have him cremated as well. And when they die, they'd like the same thing to happen to them. So that all their ashes can be released together into the ocean. I almost cried when I heard that.
