My Presley suffers from this. Has for about 7/8 years. We have him on Iams Low Residue dog food. My vet said its easier for him to digest. He would still have vomiting spells every now and them 1 or 2 times a year, but ever since we decided to feed him the canned version he has been doing very well on it. No episodes *fingers crossed* for 2 years now. He still gets the hard version...but we think the soft version is better for him. His stools are not soft (we worried about that). You can only get it at the vets office. Its not cheap, but its worth it. About $15 for a 5lb bag and $35 for a case of the canned.
I'll never forget the first time I came home from work and opened up the laundry room and blood was everywhere from him vomiting. Never been so scared in my life.
We used to feed him some table scraps.. No more. Lesson learned. |
