Layla has pancreatitis. I would stay away from the Purina food- RD isn't great but I know some dogs are so sick with pancreatitis that it is all they can stomach.
Low carb is not what you are looking for- just low fat. As someone else said the Solid Gold holisitic is 6% which is a good fat level.
I home cook for LAyla- but that isn't for everyone. She is also on a lipase supplement which just helps her pancreas in that it doens't have to make the lipase.
Treats need to be fruit or veggie based which can be hard. I make Layla's treats= it is pumpkin based and she loves it.
