My husband takes Frankie to work with him. Frankie hangs out in his crate while my husband works, and is let out for exercise and potty breaks about every 2 hours.
If my husband wasn't able to take him to work, I would probably section off an area of the kitchen and let Frankie stay there while I am at work or school. It's hard for young puppies to stay confined for long periods of time (can lead to hyperactivity/destructiveness) and to hold their little bladders for that long.
