I too had that same issue, I live by the beach and every year they do a firework show 2 blocks away,
it literally sounds like bombs are going off.. my poor baby was so scared. I closed all windows and doors, took him in my roon turned on the tv. and cuddled with him, constantly reassuring him he was safe and everything was okay. Luckily the show lasted on 15 mins. I once heard they had ear plugs for dogs, for these type of situations, I am going to look into it. If I find them I will post it.
So my advise, try find the quite room in the house, and keep them in your arms the whole time .... Unfortunatley I did not see the fireworks show ...
but my Rocco is far more important ...!
