The Halloween party at PetSmart didn't turn out so well. My little ones hated it
PetSmart had a huge line for taking the pictures and they ran out of goodies bags and picture frames. But the worst part was that there were not so friendly, bigger dogs trying to get at my babies.
Nini and Nicky were horrified, they would not go on the floor and wanted to be held high above my head. Nini kept trying to climb me as if I were a tree
I couldn't figure out if it was because they weren't used to seeing other pups and people in costumes or if because it was so crowded, or if they were afraid to 'get jumped' by the unfriendly-larger dogs, or what.
It all started badly. I had planned two costumes for each baby: one for the party at PetSmart and the other for greeting the trick-or-treat children at home on the 31st.
The costumes didn't arrive
Luckily, I'm a plan 'B' believer and got spares. But, Nini gained a bit in the couple of weeks since I bought her school girl outfit and so it was tight on her. And Nicky's superman one was too big.
It was a fiasco
Hopefully, the costumes will arrive on time and we'll have a better day on Halloween Day
