Okay..slight exaggeration
I'm am at a loss though! Bailey is 7 months old in 2 days and his coat is a mess

I had just brushed him in the attached pic and he decided to have a good roll on the floor right after his brushing! ) Soooo, should I shave him? He has an extemely slow growing coat, he is only now getting muzzle hair growth
He always looks dirty and stringy, I'm tempted to give him a bath 2x a week instead of once, just so he will look cleaner. Is there anything I can give him to help the coat? I feed him Wellness puppy. His hair doesn't matt, only a few matts where the old puppy coat ends. I really would love some suggestions.
