Hello Yorkie Lovers; Just wanted to tell those that are interested that my atty. sent Kim Hinkle of myelegant paws a letter last week requesting that she send me my $4000.00, he also informed her that we would take this situation further if the money wasn't returned. She has had my money for SEVERAL weeks now. Good news is, I have found a wonderful breeder that is going to sell me a female for Mallory and Mallory is soooo excited! I found this breeder on this forum and we have become very good friends. So something great has happened through all of this mess. This wonderful lady sends Mallory pics. of her new dog and talks to my daughter on the phone often.
The California BBB has also contacted Kim but has not heard from her so far. SURPRISE!!!!!!!
I have had people from this forum to send me sites to go to and Kim has tried to sell dogs on puppy find and also breeders net. A couple of years ago she had the audasity to try to sell dogs stating that her husband Rich had been killed in a motorcycle accident! Rich is ALIVE. Can you believe the gall? I also found one site where she claims that she is having to sell her dogs due to a house fire, and was offering them for $1500.00. Geez,( why couldn't I have seen that before I dished out $4000.00 for NOTHING!) I can't even imagine schemes so horrid to sell dogs. I would be terrified to ever post those things, my luck they would really happen.
Giving her 4K for nothing is bad enough, but breeders like this makes the really true ethical and honest breeders out there have a more difficult time selling dogs over the internet because of the horror stories like mine. I feel like I need to post my story, because I don't want other consumers like me getting the shaft from people like Kim. With that said, I have talked to many breeders in the past several weeks and DO know that there are good breeders out there, the consumer just really needs to research the breeder. If the breeder is ethical, they won't mind.
Kim did tell me that she had some people that had posted terrible things about her, but she of course had an explanation for it. I was just STUPID and unimformed and should have thoroughly investigated her, but you live and hopefully learn and I trusted the WRONG breeder. I can only hope that no one else makes the mistake that I made.
I do have emails, text messages, and proof of sending her this money and that is a good thing!! I can back up everything that I say or have said about this particular breeder.
