Hate to admit it but I was one of those non-dog friendly friends. Don't get me wrong, I have always been an animal lover but I always had cats as pets and I never looked at other people's dogs as just a dog. I knew they love them just as much as I loved my cats....so from the standpoint I understood how important their dogs were to them. I just never wanted to own a dog until I started dog-sitting for a yorkie. The rest is history.
While I have a much greater appreciation for dogs in general. I do believe that the yorkie breed will probably be the only breed I will ever own. It does not diminished the respect and love I have for all animals....I just love owning yorkies.
