Our dogs don't get table food or traditional dog treats. When I am training I use little pieces of boiled chicken as high value treats.
Once in a while they get a little piece of raw carrot, green beans, or apple and banana--but I think that is good for them.
My breeder told me to give them cheerios--so my husband like to give those.
We have this one yorkie that just looks at food and gains weight! So I have to be very careful with her. I try just to give her a little piece of carrot as a treat. Infact, I started mixing in the low fat Acana food with her regular Acan food this morning to gradully switch her over! |
