 Spay questions
Hello everyone,
I just had my puppy Stella spayed on Monday (it is now Wednesday). They kept her overnight and I brought her home Tuesday and she seemed uncomfortable but ok. She ate on Tuesday night but today (Wed) she refuses to eat or drink. She will take treats from me but will not take her food even if I try to hand feed her. Is this normal? I do not want her to become dehydrated from no water. She is just laying around and is very listless.
My other question is that the vet did not give me antibiotics or pain meds. I know that some vets do not use antibiotics but I am nervous that it would be better to give them to her to prevent infection. has anyone had their dog spayed and did not use antibiotics or pain meds. I am sure they will give them to me if I call but I do not want to overreact.
