So glad to hear things are looking up! Trust me, in a few months this will all be a distant memory!

Oh, and about keeping him contained, it isn't that hard and the reason behind it is because you have to. After going through the last couple days the last thing you would ever want is to repeat it due to a failed recovery!

I don't think there is anything wrong with keeping him on chicken and rice for a while. I would keep some kibble available to him in case he wants some. You may also want to get him some probiotics to feed in between the antibiotic and pain meds- those can do a number on their tummies.
