We do one feeding in the morning and one at dinner (it works out to be about 7:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.)
I did 3 feedings a day when the girls were younger but switched them to 2 a day when they were over a year old.
However, my vet mentioned in passing that even two feedings a day is a long time for such small dogs to go without food. I wouldn't be opposed to giving a tiny snack in the afternoon--except one of my girls is such a porker! I swear, she looks at food and gains weight! |
