Its out the window. I worked retail for many years and while there were days that I would have soon killed someone than to look at them, I was helpful.
Tonight I went to Academy. The greeter at the door was just leaning over on his podium, I asked where water bottle holders were at. He pointed me in the right direction.
Next I am walking through the store and asked someone where the dri weave socks are and if she knew if they had insultated water bottles. Her response, I dont know (shrugs shoulders) if you didnt find them already then we dont have them. THEN she walks OFF!!!
Really???
So I go right back to the guy leaning on the podium and asked him. He was telling me well I guess you can look in hunting. I said, you know what, how about you send your Manager up here and he can personally show me where the items are.
Manager comes up with this young boy, Sean. Sean took me right to where I needed items which by the way was NO where NEAR hunting. At least he was nice and helpful,even after we gave up on the socks. He came running to the front with a pair that he thought I would like.
It seems it is everywhere, poor customer service. No one cares. I found one person that wanted to help, with even a smile. So that helped.
Whew, that was long but I needed to get that out.
