I feed NV raw for breakfast & free feed NV Instinct (a grain free kibble) the rest of the day. I'd say it's a personal choice as to how much protein you're wanting to feed. I don't want to say this is in any way a bad food. I only read the first line of ingredients and saw what I needed.
