I'm going to knock on wood as I say this. About 5 years ago I got the flu. It was 3 days of feeling crappy, fever, sore body, tired - slept a lot, no throwing up or anything else unpleasant and then boom it was gone as quick as it came. That is the ONLY time I can remember having the flu. I guess because I don't get sick often I have no idea how bad the flu can really be, I'm going to take my chances... but if I had a small child, an elderly parent/grandparent living with me or someone with a compromised immune system (like my mother with fibromyalsia) I wouldn't think twice about getting what vaccine I needed to get to help them stay healthy.
