I live in a small town so it is the police who pick up stray dogs. I just found out that the vet clinic that they take the dogs to only keeps them 3 days before they PTS.

I asked if they thought I could go pick up the dogs and take them to a shelter about 30 minutes away, and I was told that they didn't think that the vet would agree because the city pays them money to PTS the dog. I was and am quite upset about the deal. I am going to go, though, and check into it myself. I won't even us this vet because he is so mean to small animals. ~Joanne~
