First of all you do need patience, especially if you have a active pup. To get the pretty shots I have a large velour bedspread that I will just put of the floor and I will drape part of it over something. Sometimes will take them in the bathroom and close the door so they cannot run too far. Then I just sit or stand and talk to them, show them a toy or treat and just start taking pictures. Here are some I took a couple of week ago of two of my 5 month old pups. They kept wanting to run off the bedspread but they finally stopped long enough for me to get a picture. The last picture is of the pups dad, Jazz.
