This took maybe ten 5-minute sessions over 10 days. I wasn't sure how to get him to bark in the first place. I decided to stand by a window and say "Dog!" or "Moose!" As soon as he'd bark, I'd reward. I also use a hand command.
Someone else suggested ringing the doorbell, but I didn't try that.
