I too was having a tough time with potty training GiGi, she would just squat so fast and be done by the time I got there. I just started the "how to housebreak your dog in 7 days" program, and my goodness, what a total turn around. She is like a totally different baby! Before, I let her pretty much have the run of the front of the house, and what a little sneak. I found poop presents behind my couch and television, and LOTS of it. My front entry is kinda dark, so when my dh came home from work he would have to reach inside and turn the light on so he could make sure GiGi didn't leave any presents laying around...lol
I gotta tell you, I have a totally new baby, when I take her out to potty I will take a beggin strip (I know, those are horrible treats but my dh insists they LOVE them, which they do...lol) and when she goes potty, I will break off the tinest of pieces and shower her with praise and give her that tiny treat. Now, after she does a little potty, she runs over to me and sits looking up at me ready for her tiny treat...lol
Also, she now comes when I call her, rather than before when she would just walk the other way...lol This training is a pretty strict schedule but man, am I seeing amazing progress!!!
