Two things here- 1) weight does not = health, and 2) making her heavier by overfeeding is NOT safe. Yorkies are a tiny breed to begin with. They have tiny bones and joints, meaning they cannot and should not support more than a healthy weight. Your little girl will most likely not be over 2lbs as an adult, unless she truly is underweight now. Can you feel ribs? Does she have a depression in her waist? If not, do not feed her more, because making her fat will do more harm than good (the same thing as a naturally petite woman being fed enough to gain 25-100% of her body weight. Not good!).

Bottom line- she's a tiny baby and will never be 4lbs. Good luck!
