My first yorkie, Truffles, was 10 weeks old when I brought her home. Within the first month, she was 95% potty trained to go outside. Now, she is 9.5 months old. In my opinion, she is almost a perfect dog. A month ago, we bought another yorkie puppy to be a companion to Truffles. Lexi comes from a long line of champions. She was 14 weeks old, and was told she was almost completely potty trained.

Lexi has a long ways to go in being totally potty trained. I am having a very tough time with her potty training. She poops and pees almost anywhere she feels like. I have been using the same techniques as I used with Truffles, but definitely different results.

Both dogs are pure breeds, and I thought Lexi would be smarter and easier to train due to her champion blood line. It seems to be the opposite.
