We all want to do it right, however these little stinkers have their own version of right. I swear their make up their own potty training rules & can change them on a dime. It's going to take time & lots of patience. Keep working at it.
Roxy went back & forth between doing excellent & not good at all. Very frustrating. We got her in the dead of winter & way to cold to go outside, so we used pee pad. Once weather was warmer, she didn't know what to do outside. After her shots were completed, took her to daycare. By the second time, she had it figured out what to do outside. Then it was a combination of using both pee pad & outside. The pee pad is still down & she hasn't used it in months. A doggie door that she really enjoys just sort of finished the training. When she has the urge, she goes out. Winter is coming & I don't know how she will do her first real winter, so pee pad is there in case she wants to use it. It can be done.
I've noticed when she goes out she never pees & poops in the same spot. I have wondered if that's why they don't want to poop on the pee pad. She would sometimes, but often would not. Hang in there! |
