I can't remember if I have posted here already, either, but Meg was named after Megatron from Transformers.
My DH was hesitant to get such a small dog (Meg was ~1 lb when we took her home), and had always imagined having a dog with a "big dog" name like Skull or Killer. I told him he was nuts, and that we might as well call her "Megatron" (Transformers 2 was just coming out), and... it stuck! We call her Meg for short.
And no, at the time I didn not realize that Megatron was the villian of the story.
