I'm thinking that fatigue and distraction might be your best friends during this time. They say a tired dog is a happy dog; even if you aren't able to go outdoors to play because of the noise, some indoor fetch might wear your dog out so that he/she will sleep through most of the festivities. Also, buying a special treat that is time consuming, like a Kong toy filled with treats or peanut butter, might be helpful.
