There are 3 steps on a plastic frame covered with washable fleece. They are weighted to 70 lbs, but I know for a fact that they hold up to my 92 lb daughter! We use them so that Daisy can climb up onto the sofa and cuddle. The fleece provides a nice surface to climb, so there are no accidental slip and fall problems.
