What type of contract does your friend have ??
Does she have a clause in it that states if put down then an autopsy
must be preformed as to state the cause of the problem.
Most contracts also state the breeder is to be notified before a pup is to be put down.
Your friend does not know if the pup was dropped .
Or if she let it jump out of her arms .
She let the pup get a hold of some type of medicine..
A child squeezed it to hard , kicked it....etc.
And if this woman refused to have one done, it sounds fishy,
Does she know who the Vet is ??
Has she spoke to the Vet ??
I would be interested to hear what he had to say about what happened to the pup.
And if it was necessary to put the pup down or if it was just a personal choice of the new owner.
Most contracts state that when pups leave the breeder they become the sole responsibility
of the new owner. Any medical bill incurred after the sale is to be paid by the new owner.
Personally,
I would NOT replace a pup with out having autopsy done to show cause of
what happened to the pup. |
