I think this is a breeder's worse nightmare. My friend had a gorgeous litter and found great homes for the puppies, or so she thought. One of the puppies was taken to the emergency just 24 hours after being picked up and put to SLEEP

unfortunately the new owner is nowhere of being cooperative on telling her what may have happened to this poor tiny puppy after he was picked up. He showed up at the emergency with seizures and the only thing they did was test sugar levels which were fine and give some oxygen. Then the owner decided to put the puppy to "sleep" to get him out of his misery. The owner told my friend she was going to do an autopsy but it turned out she declined the autopsy to determine the cause of death. Of course my friend's attorney will be looking into it soon. But i was wondering if any breeders here have had similar situations and if any advice can be given. I am trying to cheer my friend up. She adores her dogs and it is devastated. I never thought i would ever hear about something like this. I saw that gorgeous little puppy go out of her door and still can not believe it. of course the new owner appeared to be nicest person in the world by then. Now i do not know what to think of anyone anymore.Who could harm that perfect kissing baby? oh, i almost forgot, she thinks she has no responsibility since she only had the puppy for a day.
Any inputs or sharing will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
