I just do not have time to start. And it IS good to have non-profit registration, because of special discount to non-profit. At least, some rescues on East Cost got free place.....
The main reason you want to be a not for profit organization is so companies and individuals who donate to your rescue can get a tax write off. This is a big help in raising $$$. Business's will be more inclined to donate items if they can write them off or get a lot of PR for their organization.
