wow for the first time i'm realizing that there are a lot of people just like me out there. we really honestly didn't know about puppy mills and how bad they were. even seeing them on Oprah we didn't think that was something that really happened in our own neighborhoods. and then we got on here, learned, and still were defensive because we just didn't really believe it...and we bought our dogs to "save" them not realizing we were enabling. and then finally one day after loving our puppies for awhile, it just clicked that their mama and daddy were probably living in filth and only living to make babies and will die in a kennel...that hurts me deeply. it just didn't click and then one day it did...and now all the people who have had this experience are uniting because they figured it out with the help of this site and we're going to make a change for the better as the future of this country!!!!
megansmomma....i hope you read this girl....your words aren't in vain...we're listening no matter how much you think we're not!!!! we're still reading and eventually it does start to sink in...don't stop preaching girl...and to the OP don't you ever stop telling this story...it will help someone someday stay away from this heartbreaking and bank breaking situation. |
