Even with the Bully sticks there is lots of variation with in width, I buy in bulk and they come in a sealed box that a store would use as display, so I'm pretty sure there is not any switching, and some are just much thinner than others. I think the Flossies are generally recommended for puppies and dogs less than four pounds. Since these are not processed in the sense that they are ground and man-made you will get much more variation in size. Joey has gotten really good at holding his sticks, and it takes him a whole week before he needs another one. You might try the sticks for everyday, since they are great for teeth cleaning, and the Flossies for special occasions.
