More likely your dog is poor quality yorkie. I have seen plenty of yorkies that are larger & with the thinner less coat similar to a silky. Right now there are huge differences in the qualities in yorkies since they are so overbred. I groom 2lb to 40lb yorkies with every type of coat imaginable.
