Friend of a friend buys a yorkie for his wife, the dog is tiny and it dies overnight. The husband talks to the breeder and gets a replacement dog. They call me for advice. They refuse to tell me how small the dog is but they do say it is 9 weeks old. OMG they paid 2 thousand dollars for a teenie 9 week old dog. Do they seriously know anything? I am so mad. Why do people pay 2,000 for a dog from a breeder that claims to be AKC. Any responsible dog would not let a dog go home so early.

They think everything is ok because this dog is eating....OMG.....I hate this.

My question is does AKC have a standard for when the dog should be able to go home? 12 to 14 weeks?
