Oh, boy! Years and years ago I had a little chihuahua and the vet told me she was born with that stuff. It's been a long time ago, so forgive my memory. It seems like it took me four to five months of very intensive care to get rid of it. She had to be dipped in this stinky yellowish stuff three times a week. It smelled sooooooooooo bad! She hated it just as much. I didn't feel like that was working so great, so I did something (I don't remember now if I read about it somewhere or what now) like mix that yellow sulphur powder with vaseline and put on the places where she had that. I would leave that on for awhile and then give her a bath. Actually, I think that is what got rid of it!

It was so sad, because most of her puppy months were spent with this awful stuff. I loved her and wanted to cure her of having it and I feel like she would have died if she hadn't had intensive care as she did have, because she had it so bad. She had big spots on her back that were scabby and the hair had fallen out.

It had a happy ending, because I got rid of it and she grew in a beautiful coat of hair. It was so nice and thick and she lived happily ever after.
