if it's just regular skin color with scab; then that's fine; as long as he doesn't lick the area; you can use the colar for another week to prevent infection. mine had stiches inside, never saw them. but i took the colar a little early adn she started licking; and then it got infected. so the vet gave me an antibiotic cream to put on it.
you can wipe him down; but not that area; maybe it's best to avoid water for another week. good luck |
It is slightly red, but not really much. its like a hard and crusty scab that is white colored, but no puss at all. Its looks like when you would scrap your knee really bad and a scab would formed on top of the cut - well that scab is like hard and almost white-ish in color. does that make sense.
I just called the vet and they said to wait another week but didnt say anything about the scab


I hope its not infected.. how do you know that its infected?
