Welcome, and I hope you find your perfect companion. Not every Yorkie is the same. Ours will bark at things that shouldn't be around our house
squirrels and other critters, or if the doorbell rings. We can get her to quiet. I first would put her in her kennel when I went to work and would come home for lunch to let her out. She did fine. Now she sleeps on top of the bed pillows during the day, and even though I come home for lunch still, she could sleep there all day. She has gotten into a great routine and expects her day to always be the same. She is good about knowing what is expected. I totally love the breed, and my hubby said he wouldn't have any other.
